Minecraft causing Java to crash?

When I play Minecraft full screen for around a half hour or less, my game quits completely and shows a java error. But when I'm not full screen, it seems to work fine. I play LoL as well, and that game I play at full screen no problems with any crashes or freeze. Was reading up a bit on the matter, and one user said that he had the same problem, and when he swapped the RAM, the problem has yet to return. I ran memtest twice on my 8GB (2x4GB)G Skill 1600 Ripjaws, and it passed both sticks on both runs. I also uninstalled java, deleted all java folders, and installed java again, but that did not change. Any ideas or suggestions to throw out there? I'd really like to avoid buying RAM, especially since it passed memtest twice. I know it sounds like I answered my own questions, but the only thing I have yet to try is new RAM modules. I really need an idea as to what else could be the problem and money is a little tight right now to purchase new RAM.

Specs:
CPU: i3-3225 (Intel HD 4000)
MOBO: Asrock h77m
RAM: G Skill 8GB 1600
GPU: none
HDD: WD Black 500GB
PSU: Corsair 430w

A few thoughts:
-Are you using 32-bit, or 64-bit java?
-Are you playing with mods? Some of them are unstable, and will occasionally crash.
-If you really want to see if it's a RAM issue, try running with only one stick in at a time, if you haven't yet.

I have yet to try the one stick method as well, but kind of figured I did not need to as I passed memtest twice. I am using the 64 bit java, and yes, on 64 bit W7HP. I am running the optifine mod, but before I had the optifine mod, it was also doing the same thing. I have to wait to attempt some of the solutions you wrote, as I am currently at work, and won't be home til later.
