Motherboard wont download driver for pci slots

I got 2 gtx 580 geforce gpus one from gigabyte and one from gainward i got them in sli and the pc says they are in sli but when im going to download a driver then only one pci gets the driver so 2 differet drivers crash and screen gets green and laggy then they just stop. For me to download a new driver i need to take out a card so i got a 580 in pci 1 download driver take the card out and set it in slot 2, then download driver and set inn the seacond card. Then the pc get the Fresh driver. Has to be a easyer way. My friend got same two cards on his rampage III extreme and he can just download and the driver is on both cards

Asus rampage iv formula
Intel 3930k cpu
PS is ax1200 watt gold from corsair

When you install the driver click advanced and check clean install, just updating the driver doesn't remove the old one just updates parts of it. I always do a clean install as a preventative measure, which maybe why I have never had the issue you have.
