Is my card fried or is it a minor fault?

I think my ATI Radeon HD 5770 card is fried but i am unsure as it works fine if i leave it off for a week or so but then after a few hours of use it causes the system to restart continuously and then there's no signal to the screen......please advise what could be the fault?

Take out the graphics card and use the monitor port off the motherboard, see how it runs. If it runs alright, then it's your card, if not, it could be something else.

i get wat u saying Max1s coz the gpu min requirements is 450w and psu is 650w. how would i know if it is the power supply thats faulty as my system runs perfect if the card is disconnected.

Try reseting the bios and running the machine with the card in.
Do you have another machine you can test the card in or another card you can run in the machine?
