hi my psu works if I have cpu, motherboard and graphics card plugged in will boot to bios menu but if I plug hard drive cd drive in it wont power on at all, or will turn on for 1 second then immediately switch off.

this mite help I have a ASUS p8z68 v lx motherboard with intel i7 cpu.

please help thanks

have you tried plugging them into different plugs or using another cable? odds are you have, another thing to check is if your computer is getting the juice it needs. Have you tried plugging your computer into a different outlet (or off a surge protector if you have one and directly into the wall)

hi all cables are brand new, its fully modular, everything is in the write place. have tried plugging hard drive cd drive and fans seperatly but no luck.

just tried it in a different computer and has the same problem only come on when theres nothing plugged in the sata ports. both computers work perfect with other psu's.

is it possible that the sata ports on the psu are faulty? has anyone had this problem before?
