First off, JS I am going to upgrade my whole system next year, so inb4 "get a new pc".

UPDATE:
Noob overclocker question: If the max FSB for the motherboard is stated at 1600, does this mean that it is a concrete limit, or can it be pushed further? I ask because I have had mine set to 48 past it's limit before, and I am not sure whether the reason it failed to post beyond that was my RAM or my Mobo. The motherboard operates at fine heats at everything I've tried it.

As I said, getting a whole new pc later this year when funds permit, but for now I'm just trying to max out my current set up. I have one of the later Core 2 Duos, a 3.0GHz E8400.

The problem is that my motherboard (P5QL-E) doesn't support DDR3 RAM, so the max FSB speed I can go to is 400. I'm not too sure about this to be honest, as I'm very new to the field, so do correct me if there's something else I could do to get my processor beyond 3.6GHz (it's locked at x6-9). The motherboard itself actually says it has a limit of 1600MHz to fsb, but in the bios it isn't locked, and it stays very cool at higher fsb speeds.

Anyway, I'm after a mobo on which I can OC my 3.0GHz E8400 LGA775 to as high as possible. What's my best bet? Some of the prices I've seen are obscene, so I'll say I have a budget of £100, though post higher if you find one in case I can find a deal on eBay or somewhere.

It'd also be very nice for the board to be standard atx, and possibly be SLI compatible.

Thanks for the feedback!

Well, as it's my birthday next month, I was planning on spending a certain percentage of that on upgrading my current pc, and a certain percentage saved for my next system. I want to go pretty overkill with my next machine, so I'll have to save for a while. Really want to get this one going as well as possible in the mean time, even if it does mean waiting longer for the next!

Thanks very much for that, I've slightly avoided newegg when looking around - I find their interface pretty horrible for a new user. I'll keep looking round, and keep this updated if I find something that suits my needs. Thanks again.

If you don't live in the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, or China, you can't buy from newegg anyway.

I suspected that from their insistence on using dollars. Thanks for the heads up! Also, thanks for the amazon link xD. Can't believe I didn't check amazon, derp. I have a question about FSB speeds. My mobo says it has a max of 1600, yet I've already had it set to 1648 before. Leads me to wonder if this one that I saw on the amazon link will go above 1333 or not - if not, there's absolutely no point in me getting it, as I need really high fsb speeds to oc my cpu.
