computer dies and will not re start

computer switched off and will not restart, it has switched of before but has re booted ok, there is power to the mains lead but computer is dead

Reset the cmos on your motherboard, use the instruction book to see how.


If that fails:

Remove the power supply, and try to test it with another.

Your computer kept switching off, and you're only asking about it now? for all we know it could have been over heating and the motherboard could be shot :(

hopefully that is not the case, but there's a good chance your powersupply is faulty. try another one if you can :)
