I had to RMA to an MSI RMA department my GTX 560 Twin Frozr II Golden Edition graphics card because of a fan issue. It's been 2 weeks... and today I have recently got an e-mail from an individual in MSI RMA asking me if I would like to replace the following:

My MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II Golden Edition

For their MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk

I did a bit of research and it turns out that this card can get really hot. Is it possible for my other computer components to fail if the card they replace acts funny? I'm paranoid about this. And also do you think I can e-mail or much preferably call them instead and see what my other replacement options are? I know that with RMA, they will replace your card with a similar or better model, but I don't know if I should replace it with the GTX 560 Ti Hawk. That's why I'm here to ask you guys. What do you guys think?

So they want to replace it with a card with a 50Mhz clock boost but maybe less efficient cooling? Will they still offer the full factory warranty on the new card? If so go for it. Unless you can convince them to give you a 6xx series card of course! It certainly would not hurt to ask for a newer card.

LOL yea! Apparently the name of the person who e-mailed me asking if I would like to replace the card goes by the name of Grace Liao. A chick, and I'm thinking...maybe I could call her and sweettalk her to getting me a 600 series :)...

LET'S DO THIS! LEEROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Good news, guys! The lady was actually very nice to me :). She told me that she asked the others if the 600 series would be an okay upgrade, but unfortunately they said that it would be too high of an upgrade. Instead, they said that they would be able to replace my card with a GTX 570 or a GTX 580. She told me that she was going to personally find a better card for me in the warehouse and will be contacting me by e-mail tomorrow.

Sweet! A 570 or a 580 either are pretty good upgrades. Glad it worked out for you. It never hurts to ask!

Just got my GTX 570 this morning and the card looks brand freakin' new! I want to thank Grace Liao and all the people who were responsible for handling my RMA process. I can't promise that I'll run into problems with this card anytime sooner, since I just got it. But, if I don't come back to this thread anytime soon without any problems...

I'm gaming :)

10/10 for MSI RMA service

Kinda old but I just wanted to say that indeed MSI RMA is incredibly awesome!

I had to RMA my GTX 760, after 10 days I get an Email from Grace Liao asking permission to replace my GPU with a GTX 770! Agreed and got it today, and it is 100% new, came in the marketing box all factory sealed and works like a champ!

So yeah big props to Grace Liao and MSI RMA
