Hi!

I want to know if this setup will be good for gaming. PSU will be 600W.

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-D3
CPU: FX-6300
GPU: Sapphire HD7770 Ghz Edition 1GB

600 watt should do unless hes overclocking or doing crossfire/sli.

Around 500-600. But I will not change this setup (but if i really have to yes i will change it). I just want to know if it will run new games decently. Like no bottleneck or hick ups or anything like that.

You might have some issue's is you want to run games on full graphics!! For example B3, B4, crysis, will not run on full graphics. SC2, LOL, WOW, DOTA,DOTA2, Should be fine.

Actually with a 7850 the build should do fine on Bf3 and should handle crysis fine. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536?vs=549

The cpu would be a bottleneck in that case but not buy much. I would recommend an intel cpu but with maximum budget of $600 that should be the best gfx+cpu without breaking it.

I agree, Intel i5 Should do the job, regarding B3 on full graphics are you sure?

The 7850 can do bf3 at Ultra setting 1920x1200 around 40 fps .

You are paying for features you are not going to use. A GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 board is $50 less than the 990FX board you have picked out. You can use these saved funds to pickup a better GPU such as a HD 7850 or 7870.

Also, is the $600 the total system budget or just for the GPU+CPU+MoBo? If it isn't the full budget, what is the full budget and what components do you already own?

The 6300 will bottleneck the 7950 but not the 7850. It wont be a crazy bottleneck.

No the 6300 will not bottleneck a 7770 because its an entry level card but would bottleneck the 7950 because its a high end card. But I recommend going for a 7850 because its the best card for the money at the moment and is only about $30-50 bucks more than a 7770.

oic... sorry. im pretty noobish at this kind of stuff.

so if i run games on medium settings the 7770 and 6300 will be OK?

if not... will a 6300 and 7850 be better?

Its alright. A 7770 and 6300 would run most games at medium settings fine. Also whats your resolution?
The 6300 and 7850 will be much better you can do high settings and get high frames on most games.(Besides Crysis 3 for example)

Let me provide some clarity. The better video card will always provide better game play. When picking components, it is crucial to build a balanced budget so there are no bottlenecks. Your HD 7770 would be the bottleneck in your original build because you picked an entry level GPU and paired it with a fairly powerful CPU with a mid-range motherboard. Anytime you waste money on components/features you are not using, you are creating a bottle neck. Your build can make due with a 500W PSU and the funds saved there could be used to improve other aspects of the system.

im not really sure. wats the best resolution for the 6300 and 7770 that will give a decent FPS in medium settings???

The native resolution of your monitor is the best resolution.

Correct.
