Confused about Graphics Card?

I need help finding a graphics card for my new computer. The original purpose of my computer was for video editing, but recently I've wanted to play games as well.

My Specs:

Intel i7 3770K Processor
16 gigs of RAM
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Motherboard

At first, I was recommended the EVGA GeForce GTX 660 FTW Signature 2 but I was told it wasn't good enough for the new games coming out. Can someone please give advice for how I should go about purchasing a graphics card?

  1. Go with the 670 you will be safe there. Then you can alwayz over clock it =)
  2. Actually, any Kepler card is going to be a B*TCH to overclock, because of how they're designed.

Go with a 7870XT, which is about the same price and is considerably more powerful than the 660.
