Hey guys, first post here.
I recently upgraded my motherboard to - (ASRock z77 extreme6) ,CPU to - (i5-3570k) , ram to - (G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB(1600mhz)), and OS to - (Windows 7 ultimate x64) this past week, and ever since my internet connection has been very sporadic. The connection will randomly drop, and signal strength will fluctuate as well (by 50%). Sometimes i will be disconnected all together. No other computers or devices seem to have the problem, and there was no problem before I upgraded. Connecting through D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme.
I have the latest drivers; have tried disabling IPv6 to see if that was the cause, and have tried in safe mode, but the problem still persists.
I'm assuming the culprit is Windows 7, but not sure. Any help?
Thanks

Solution
Don't trust wireless....
Wires FTW :)

While the above is true...
What have you done? you checked you got latest Win 7 drivers? checked antennae is well seated? changed channel to make sure no conflict with other wireless ...etc?
but may be you just unlucky.. I had a specific blackberry which would crash my router... no other blackberries.. just the one.. weird stuff can happen. Luckily my daughter dropped it down toilet - and replacement had no problems..

Cheers
