i was put a pea size of thermal paste onto the cpu and put on the N14 cooler twist it a few time, then screw it down, while i screwing one side, the other side of the heatsink pop up a bit. do i need to re do the thermal paste part because contact of the heatsink and the cpu was expose to air for like 1 sec. thanks

A pea size drop seems a bit big, but I do not think the side pushing up a bit will cause any issues. The springs on that heatsink will squish out air for you. The thermal paste will also thin out with heat to flow better(in a good way) and most break in a bit.

You are good.
