I have never heard of Huntkey before. I looked the brand up on http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx, and it is listed under the following heading:

Tier 5 - Other than the units listed above for any of these brands, NOT RECOMMENDED. Replace ASAP if you have one.

So I would probably take their advice and not buy a Huntkey PSU. If you want a good PSU, get a 80+ certified one by Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, or any of the models recommended on that thread. You only need a 500W one for your GTX 660 ti.

Huntkey actually manufacturers power supplies. No other company uses them as an OEM so that should tell you something right there. That being said that specific model is reviewed as pretty good by Hardwaresecrets.

It's about twice as much power as you need though since a system with a GTX 660 Ti needs a recommended 450w power supply....

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

You quite literally need a 900w power supply for 3 x GTX 660 Ti cards in Sli.

That unit has 4 x 18 amp 12v rails for 72 amps on the 12v rail total. As you said a GTX 660 Ti needs 24 amps on the 12v rail.

I would be careful, you wouldn't want to overload a particular rail, especially from HuntKey. They're not bad, but I still wouldn't trust one in my rig TBH.

Are you serious? Do you actually believe anyone would make a 900w power supply that would not be able to power a low end card like a GTX 660 Ti?? What use would that be exactly? There are no 900w power supplies that only are capable of running 4 HD 7770s. You should read up on how power supplies work a bit before posting in a thread like this. Power is distributed as needed.

@annort3 sorry my bad. i know its minimum psu requirements is 450watts. and 900watts is over for 660ti but i dont have other choice. just this one. because that's the only available here in my local store. what i really concerned about is it has multiple 12v rail with 18A.. i just want to ask to u guys that if i connect the 2x 6pin in my 660 ti with 12v 18a how my Ampere do i have.? i dont know how to compute that im not good at computation in voltages. don't really have time for that. LOL

You are FINE if that is the only unit available to you. Ignore the multiple rail thing. It's not important to you. The power is distributed as it's needed.

I did not know that. I thought Rocketfish was Seventeam for some reason. Guess I should look at the Tom's list more. The updated version is actually pretty thorough.

Huntkey are pretty crap tbh.

Wattage is not nearly important as Amps are on the 12V rail, and considering its HuntKey we're talking about, I wouldn't trust them. otherwise we'd all be running Coolermaster PSU's.

coolermasters upper end units are usable units. its the low end ones that are near unusable. this huntkey unit is one of huntkeys upper units.
