Can't install programs due to connectivity issues.

Can't install any programs. Every time I attempt to install a program; steam, chrome, yahoo messenger, I get a message that says I'm not connected to the internet. Any clue how to fix this?

What operating system are you running?

Are your network drivers installed? Are you online at the time(this is actually a question just in case you are having connection issues)? Many programs now have slim installers that download everything they need from the internet. This ensures you always have the latest version of a program(because the installer will get it from the internet).

Most programs also use the default internet settings so if you use internet explorer, its options are the most easy to access.
