Is the Samsung 840 Pro (128GB) overkill for a boot drive (Windows 7 Professional)? Or is the 840 just fine? Thanks! :)

The only way you will tell the difference is by running benchmarking software. Other than that the 840 non pro is fine.

the 840 normal is fine. unless you are going to write/transfer alot of stuff, you will not need the performance difference between the two. a ssd will boot fast near regardless of its speeds.

It's nothing like that. Mustangs can be bought for around 15g's and are staples of white trash idiots who can't afford any better but HAVE to have a "sports car."

Porsches near to the pinnacle of the combination of sportiness, speed and luxury. Comparing a Porsche and a mustang is more like comparing an 840 pro to the slowest 500gb HDD currently on the market.
