Alright so I'm thinking about building computer, however this is my first time so I'm still a little skeptical about a few things. I found a motherboard I am interested in however the lowest DDR3 it has on the memory standard is 2400, and it goes up from there. The cheapest ram though I could find at the this rate was like $180 (I'm going with corsair because I know they're a trusted brand) and i really wouldn't like to spend that much on RAM. So my question is, if I were to use a RAM with a standard of like DDR3 1600 on this motherboard, would that run ok? And if not, what would y'all suggest. And I will mainly use this for gaming if that makes any difference.

Here's the link to the motherboard:

Thanks in advance

That is a very odd MB and have not seen a MB yet the the lowest ram spec's are 2400mhz (oc), however after visiting the manufacturers web page and looking at the detaied spec's of the board I found some additional information about what ram speeds it supports.

• Support four DDR3 DIMMs 1066/1333/1600*/1866*/2000*/2133*/2200*/2400*/2600*/2667*/2800*/3000*(OC) DRAM (32GB Max)
- Supports Dual-Channel mode
* To support DDR3 2200*/2400*/2600*/2667*/2800*(OC), you must install an Intel 22nm CPU

So based on this information you can use 1600mhz ram and a good choice if you can afford it would be 1866mhz Corsair Platinum.
