see i have two drives on my laptop
c for windows 8
n d for windows 7
now m happy with windows 8 so i want to delete my d drive so i get more space in windows 8
now i need a way in which
1. my D drive is completely gone
2.i get more space in my C drive
3.no data is lost in C drive
4.my laptop is safe

You can format the D drive to reclaim that space and get rid of Windows 7, either via File Explorer, or the Disk Management console. Unfortunately, since you seem to want to combine it with your C drive to have all space allocated in one volume, you can't do so without also wiping out your C drive, and thus having to reinstall Windows 8 as well.

You have 2 actual drives or just 2 partitions on one drive that appear as C and D? I wouldn't recommend combining two actual drives into 1 without really a good backup plan. If either drive fails, all your data is gone. If it's just 2 partitions and you want to reclaim the space you can use the steps below.

1st priority was laptop is safe. The best way to do this was to use whatever backup solution you intend before you had any data. You still can, Windows 8 comes with a built in backup solution but you should also manually save your data just in case.

To resize drives, from start type disk management. Select the control panel applet. Delete the D partition. Expand the C partition into the free space.
