Thinking of buying a 4870 for $35, I want to know if its a decent deal and can it max league of legends and Starcraft 2?

Play yes, max no.

If you want to play games at higher settings at a lower price, the lowest I would recommend is the 6670 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102988) but preferably the 7750 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102969)

Isn't the 4870 faster than the 6670? And I was considering a 7770 but all I have is a $50 newegg gift card and like $50 so right now I'm on a budget and just want a decent card that WILL be replaced with a future upgrade so nothing over $50

No, the 6670 is slightly faster than the 4870, based on the price though the 4870 would be the better choice. The fact still stands that it will not max those games. But honestly, save a little money and get the 7770. Thats a great card and will have not problem with your games.

ehh, idk the 4870 has more Steam processors and ddr5 memory.. also i believe it has a 256-bit memory bus instead of 128. I think for i rather get the 4870 even if it wont max out those games but i wont be able to upgrade it until about September.. fml

The difference in memory bus isnt going to have much effect at this level, and both cards have 1GB VRAM, and the amount of Stream processors cannot be compared across different generations of graphics cards, as each chip architecture does parallel processing differently. The 800 processors on the 4870 actually translate to less power than the 480 processors on the 6670. And on top of it all, the 4870 tends to run hot and loud...not sure if that matters to you or what your case airflow is like. Regardless, like I said of those two, the 4870 probably is the better choice because of the price difference.
