Hi everyone,

I want to build a medium budget gaming computer. I've finalized the components. I am enlisting them here. First of all I hardly get time to play games, and it is exact reason why I am not planning to go for multi-displays, fancy controllers and stuff. I am not very good at PC hardware so please avoid trolling or AMD vs Intel fanboyism. Thank you.

Here are the components I am considering along with their alternatives,

CPU = AMD FX 8350- 8 Core Vishera 4 GHz. (not considering intel i am tired of i5 3550 :( )
Mobo=asus-m5a97-evo-amd (Wanted to buy better but no budget at this moment)
RAM= Corsair Vengence 16 GB (1600 MHz 8 GB x 2) OR G. skill Ripjaws.
(Please tell what will be performance diff. if I decide to go for 4 GB x 4 sticks).
PSU= Cooler Master 550 W GX OR Corsair CMPSU-600GUK 600 Watts.
HDD= 1 TB 7200 RPM Seagate or WD. ( already have 2x 500GB SeaGates)
Case= Cooler master 912 HAF with transparent panel (Buying more fans).
Monitor= LG E2242TC 21.5 inch LED Full HD.
Gfx card= Sapphire Radeon 7750 HD 1 GB DDR 5.
DvD Writer (Have 1 blue ray drive).

Any water cooling suggestions.

This is not just for gaming. I need to use Matlab, Catia V5R17, Catia 6 and ProE.

That graphics card is crap for gaming. If you can try to get a 7770 instead. Better yet try to get a 7790. If you can extend your budget even further then get a 650 Ti Boost. That PSU is crap. Try to get a PSU from XFX, Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, etc.
Your build will run fine on a 500W PSU in case you were going to ask.

For the RAM stick with what you have. Quad channel isn't that good for the 8350. For what you are doing the 8350 should be better than an Intel Core i5.

Oh you also need a CPU cooler if you want to overclock. Get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO.

The more the RAM sticks ( 4GB or below ) , the more quick it is. But If you want more RAM , buy Sticks with more capacity. So -
In performance -
4x4GB > 2x8GB
2x4GB > 1x8GB
But a MB can support only 4 Slots. So -
In Capacity -
4x4GB < 4x8GB
2x4GB < 2x8GB

If you are living in India , tell me I will give you a perfect Rig , Jus tell me your Budget.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yeah even I was thinking same about PSU.
About 7770 and 7790, can't spend for now. But in couple of months surely can upgrade.
About over clocking No i am not in over cloaking business, but yeah water cooling for maintaining cpu performance will be always good.

Here you go -
CPU - AMD FX 8320 - 10673
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Cooler - 2191
Motherboard - ASRock 970 Extreme4 - 6962
RAM - 2x[ Kingston HyperX DDR3 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) PC RAM (KHX1600C10D3B1/8G) ] - 8094
GPU - Gainward NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card - 20007
Case - BitFenix Merc Alpha - 3292
Case Fan - 4x [ BitFenix Spectre Black 120 mm Cooler ] - 1656
PSU - SeaSonic S12II 620W - 5468
Total - 58,343
According to your first statement you have 2x500GB HDD's , So I didn't include HDD's. The 660Ti is a really great GPU. Instead of a HAF 912 Combat , I recommend a Merc Alpha , It is a good case ( I have one ) The FX 8320 was the best I could find , it is 2K cheaper and is almost as good as a FX 8350 in Gaming. The 212 EVO was the Best Budget Fan I could find , its the best for standard and gaming Rigs. And The SeaSonic S12II 620W can handle it all with ease.

@CommentariesAnd More

I will still need to add around 10k for display. I can't invest that much money in graphics card at this moment. Probably I will upgrade the machine in November or December for water cooling + Better gfx cards

Other question. I"ve used kingston rams before, what is major difference between Cors. Veng. and Kings?

(Using what I know) It's like comparing different brands for buying rice. A variety of people claim that brand 'x' is better than brand 'y' even though personally I can't tell the difference. The difference in those RAMs would be very minimal. Any one of them will serve you well. I just happen to be using Kingston memory since I got them for a stupid cheap price.
