windows 7 a required cd/dvd device driver is missing

Hey all,

I recently got a new Asus Maximus V Formula and Intel i7 3770k. After a little help on here from some nice people, I realized I needed a fresh install of Windows. I've got it on a USB stick and its comming up with an error message during install about not finding a required driver for a CD/DVD Drive. Problem is everyone online has different solutions, none of which work for me. Any help would be appreciated

More about windows required dvd device driver missing
  1. What have you tried? Have you tried different usb ports?
  2. Yea, I dont know whats going on here, I've given it drivers but it wont take any of them
  3. You tried all of the ports? Try changing legacy usb options?
  4. I got it working. If you re download windows, and mount it to your USB properly, it will run fine. Good luck guys??
  5. Another Solution comes to my mind after trying so much of hard after installing windows and again I prompted with error of "Cd/DVD device drive driver is missing"

For all fellows, trying to install windows 7 via usb stick might have tried different different ways like "AHCI to IDE", "USB3.0 to USB2.0", Corrupted Windows or Reinstall the windows.. etc etc..

to all this I'm having only one solution i.e. is "RUFUS"

Its the only tools to help u making bootable usb disk and when done with it, i don't encounter any driver missing error..
    try this and report back.
