Can you afford the 3820 without selling the dog? If so, get it, if you ACTUALLY do that much video editing. (i.e. to the point where reducing render times would be a huge benefit, rather than just removing an annoyance.)
If not, go with the 8350... but keep in mind that other options, such as the i5-3570k, will be better for just gaming, and something like the i7-3770k will be better for video editing, and less expensive than the 3820.
