Hi, I am looking for a fast computer. I game sometimes, just looking for something super fast for movies and content on my computer. Speed is important. Also, I may host websites on this computer (Small ones).

Choices so far:
Mac Desktop (Apparently it has Apple Server) and it's super fast.
Prebuilt: My friend recommended Dell XPS 8500 with i7, 16GIG Ram and SSD.
CUSTOM BUILD: OPEN TO ALL

I am open to all suggestions, budget is around $1500. Cheaper is better.

Completely agree 100%. Macs are ridiculously overpriced. Dells suck no matter if it's laptops or desktops. Build your own and you'll save money in the long run and you'll get a far better system out of it.

TA DA! here you go! great rig for under your price range! way faster than the mac and also faster than a pre built rig. feel free to have other people modify my profile!

You can do way better than that. That CPU is no longer manufactured. If the OP has the budget for a Mac Pro this would be better:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($569.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 CPU Cooler ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock X79 Extreme6 ATX LGA2011 Motherboard ($229.49 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($134.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card ($379.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W 80 PLUS Silver Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($139.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $1947.39
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

A fraction of the price of any Mac Pro or Dell POS PC you could buy and it will completely eclipse both in terms of sheer performance.

I have no clue what you are talking about! the phenom x6 is a great cpu! anyways, alot of people prefer intel, but amd is a lot cheaper and has more selection in terms of cores/clock speed. also, he was looking at a high end mac mini, not the pro, and his budget is 1500$.

It's a good CPU for sure but it is no longer manufactured. Out of production. You can't buy it anywhere. That PC Part Picker listing is out of date. The FX-6300 has replaced it. It's a decent CPU but if the OP has the budget for a Mac Pro I'm guessing that a $1K build isn't going to cut it.

Really? I thought AMD had discontinued all production of X6 CPUs like a year ago. I wonder where they're getting their supply from.

On $1500 this is what I'd suggest:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($329.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($134.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($134.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video Card ($284.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($87.98 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W 80 PLUS Silver Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $1305.89
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
