Don't think I will ever OC more the 4ghz if I even OC at all. Mainly looking at it cuz it's supposedly the best gaming CPU. Is there a differant cheaper intel CPU that's the same performance as this at stock settings? Or should I just stuck with this?

750w PSU
Msi z77a g43 motherboard
Hd 7950 3 gb

Would a cheaper Cpu bottleneck my gpu?

a 3470, 3550 or even a 3350 will not be a bottleneck in games, toms had an excellent round up last year and it showed even a 3220 dual core w/ HT could satisfy most games paired with a decent gfx card. I myself have a i5 2400 and a 3570K and cant notice the difference between the 2 in games or everyday usage

Isn't the 3350p 3.1Ghz? Is 50 bucks worth about 30% more performance? Only you can answer that. Will it slow things down, depending on the scenario yes or no. In areas where you are CPU bound, if you were to drop to 30FPS then 30% would get you somewhere near 39FPS instead. Worth isn't really something that anyone else can decide for you.

I've heard skyrim is very CPU intensive. I never understood that. How is skyrim CPU intensive??? It seems that the gpu is the most important part. What about skyrim uses so much CPU power?

Also think ill go with the if 3570 so i can stay with it for a few years
