I am building a new gaming pc and am trying to decide which case to get. I have narrowed the brand down to Cooler Master, but I am trying to pick between three models: HAF XM, HAF 922, Storm Scout 2 Advanced. Which case do you think would be best? Here are the components for my potential seup:

Mobo: Asus p8z77-v pro
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600 8gb
CPU: i5-3570k
GPU: Gigabyte gtx 670 2gb
PSU: PC Power and Cooling 750W 80 plus gold
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
SSD: Samsung 840 256gb
HDD: Western Digital Black 7200rpm 1TB

I plan to do some overclocking, but it won't be that much. I'm torn between these cases because 1) I might go to some lan parties, so the handle it a nice feature on the Scout (but I can always get one of those GearGrip cases if need be), and 2) I like having the ability to put 200mm fans in my case (mainly for reduced noise, not just airflow). So, I'm stuck. What do you all recommend? Thanks!

I went with the XM because I wanted the hot swap bays. Backups should be easy as I can pop in my spare 2TB drive, back up, then pull the drive out again. Tons of big fans. It should work great. I'm a bit upset about the build quality. The pins in the drive bays have come out, the rubber grommets for the water tubing up top have come out. Getting the xdock out from the tower is nearly impossible. Nothing has broke. But it doesn't seem to be built very well. I would think for ~$150 it would work a lot better.

I agree with the PSU. 750 is fine if you are going to run more then one card. But if you are only running a single card just get a good 500W. I don't like 600W+ PSUs as they are to much for a single card, but not enough...

The 912 is older than the XM. If you don't mind the cost which is about $70 more the XM has the 2 200mms on top and one 200mm on the side.

Yeah its a lot like its big brother HAF-X just smaller of course.

Yeah, I actually have an HAF 922, but I just saw the one that I linked to recently and think it would interesting to build in.

Only thing that ticks me off about my case is I got it before USB 3.0 on the front.

I will probably SLI in the future which is why I'm getting the higher wattage PSU. Regarding the 912, it looks like a great case but it doesn't have USB 3.0 ports in the front. The 690 case looks great too, but it's been discontinued.

I knew that there were going to be a variety of opinions with no clear winner. However, thank you all for your comments! It does help me to come to a decision. I think I will go with the HAF XM. It looks like a great case, has the 200mm fan config, and has room for upgrading to an extended ATX board in the future (if need be).

Thanks everyone!
