I'm building a gaming computer for the first time, and I've ran into a few difficulties. Mainly, the computer is not connecting to my monitor.
I'm using and hdmi cable for the connection because the motherboard only has a DMI adapter and my computer has a VAG adapter.
When I boot it, I just hear the fans come on (no beeping). I'm not sure if my motherboard has a system speaker or not, I couldn't find the information in the manual.
Here is the MOBO manual: http://www.quietpc.com/instructions/gigabyte/ga-z77n-itx.pdf
The Build:
Case: BitFenix Prodigy
Power Supply: Corsair TX650 Bronze
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77N-Wifi
CPU: Core i5 3350p
Memory: Kingston 8GB HyperX LoVo
Graphics: XFX Radeon HD 7850
Hard Drive: 137WD1002FAEX
Further information: I put thermal paste on the processor prior to installing the stock cooler, which already had paste. I wiped it off, and then installed the cooler. Also, my power, reset, HDD and MSG are all hooked up, but could a wrong hook up keep the system from booting? Lastly, I don't have an optical drive.
I feel like my MOBO is fried... or maybe the graphics card. Any info would be much appreciated, thanks!
