Howdy, I've just finished building my first custom built computer but whenever I try to boot it up the monitor shows "vga no signal." The motherboard doesn't have an onboard video chipset so I'm using the GPU below, now I've checked the monitor and the cable itself and they both work just fine, I've tried plugging a different monitor with a different cable to the computer but I get the same "no signal" message. Everything seems to boot up normally, all the fans whir as they should and I've tried resetting the video card, inserting the CD the video card came with, even resetting the ram trying 1 stick then 2, mixing and matching but to no avail. I'm hoping to find a solution that doesn't require buying new parts if possible, any help will be appreciated.

computer specs:
MSI A55M-P33 FM1 AMD A55 motherboard
EVGA GeForce 8400 GS GPU
AMD A4-3300 CPU
Crucial 4gb (2x2gb) ddr3 Ram
Antec EarthWatts EA-380D PSU
WD blue 500 gb HDD

Not at all I got it brand new, unfortunately I don't have any other computer to test it on. However I've gone on and hooked up the motherboard to a mobo speaker and found that with only the processor and power supply put in it stays silent, no beeps or anything. Everything arrived pretty recently so I've sent it back to get it replaced and hopefully it turns out it was just a bad mother board.
