Hello Guys,

I need someones help, I'm really interested in buying the SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 7970 GHz. I saw all the connectors that the GPU has and I noticed that both DVI connectors are both Dual link, not single. The port that the manufacturer said is single..is the DVI-D and that can't be true because I saw the picture of the GPU and it is clearly a Dual link not single. I need someone to tell me why the manufacturer says is single and not dual? I have a monitor the Asus VG248QE and I need to be sure if the card is a dual link dvi-D for my monitor. Can anyone help.

Doesn't mean they are going to use all the pins on the card. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it and just buy the card. I have a asus 7950 and it runs dual link dvi just fine. You could plug a single link cable into the dual link slot as well it would just limit your refresh rate.

No problem but I really think you'd turn out just fine with a dual link dvi cable connecting them. Also after doing some reading I believe you only need the active displayport adapter when running eyefinity setup. So you should be able to get by with just a passive minidisplayport to full size displayport cable

ok, will the card run at 144Hz with the display port?
