Could you please tell me what would be better for single monitor gaming between:
GTX 680 SLI ASUS DirectCU ll 2gb edition
GTX 690 EVGA 4gb
just a few notes to back up your choice would be very appreciated :D

Solution
Neither both would be extremely overpowered on what I'm guessing is a single 1080p panel. One 680 is enough.

However if you must have the best frame rates, I'd go for the 690 assuming both are the same price. Those 680's will most likely be sandwiched due to their beefy three slot coolers, and can run quite hot when sandwiched. I'd go for the 690 for that awesome look (Just look at it, its a beautiful card), its quieter, and it takes a bit less power. It has a tiny bit less performance than a 680 SLI solution because it has slightly lower clocks, however there is nothing stopping you from OCing it.
