Hello, I have a HP Pavilion p6110y desktop computer, and I am trying to use a BFG Tech Nvidia GeForce 9600GT OverClocked graphics card in it.

For some reason, it will not detect the graphics card at all.
It acts as if nothing is plugged into the PCI-E x16 slot.

**Small Edit**
I forgot to mention that I used to own a Dell desktop computer. I used this Nvidia card in that one without any issues.

I have went into the BIOS, and selected the PCI-E x16 slot as the main graphics display. I have looked for a possible way to turn off the integrated graphics; but found none.

I have a PEGATRON CORPORATION Benicia (CPU 1) Motherboard.

My Operating System is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit.

I have tried to plug my monitor directly into the graphics card, but I get no video at all. Just a black screen. The card has its own fan built into it, and when I turn the computer on, that fan turns on as well. So it is receiving power.

Could someone explain to me how I can fix this issue?
Do I need to update my motherboard somehow?

Here is all of my Motherboard's information; courtesy of speccy:

Did you download & install the driver ?

this: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2226/NVIDIA_ForceW...

I went to the official Nvidia website, and downloaded the driver for my graphics card. The Setup tried to detect if I had a Graphics card plugged in, and it exited the setup, and said:

"No Nvidia Hardware detected."

So yes. I downloaded it, but I was unable to install it due to my graphics card not being detected by my motherboard.

Hp can be tricky, mine was, try resetting the CMOS on the board. You will have to re-enter (set-up) data weather it works or not.

I'm not quite sure what "CMOS" is...
And um.. I bought the computer at goodwill. (A thrift store.)

Could you tell me how to rest the CMOS (Whatever it is.) and also tell me how to re-enter the setup data? =/

I honestly have no idea. xD
