I recently installed some fans and a fan controller, and now whenever i boot the computer it gives me a screen that lists my computer specs and says

"Rear fan Chasis (numbers) not detected"

and "F1 to boot". Unless i press F1, the computer doesn't boot but doesn't shut down either and i have to restart it.

Any idea on fixing this? I suspect changing something with the fans?

Your CMOS is where the BIOS stores its settings, i would guess you have never reset CMOS and most likely never adjusted any BIOS settings to just resetting the CMOS will be fine, if you look in your motherboard manual there will usually be a jumper you change from 2 of 3 pins to the other 2 of 3 pins and back while the pc is off, some motherboard have a button you can press while the pc is off but it all depends.

one cmos is cleared it should come up saying bios setting have changed load defaults, just do that and hopefully it will solve the problem.

Well, i solved the problem. I plugged all my fans into the fan controller and left the one spot on the motherboard open, so it was worried about my computer not getting cooling since it's an old stock one. Plugging one of the fans back into the motherboard fixed it.
