I currently have a older Dell that is giving us trouble. I also have a gaming computer I built a few months ago. We have decided to stop using the Dell and and use only the gaming computer. I only have a 128 ssd in that computer though. My question is can I remove the HD from the Dell and install into the other one and not lose anything off it? Thanks for any help.

Yes, but...

Anything 'installed' on the Dell HDD will have to be reinstalled anew if you want to use it. Your current registry does not know about them.
Also, you will have to 'take possession' of any files located under a user account (My Documents). Not hard, but just something you'll have to do.

Yes..... as you have the OS installed on the gaming computer, it will run and you don't have any driver issues. Your data on the Old HD will be fine. In order to run any programs off that HD however you will have to reinstall the programs over themselves to set the registry settings in the OS (on SSD). This will retain all program customizations, settings, tec
