We'll need the information about your motherboard in order to know if you can upgrade. Please post.

The easiest way is to install CPUZ. It's a very simple free program that lists out the info of your computer. Just don't install the Ask toolbar during the installation. Here's a picture of what you need to look for :http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn270/barto8/motherb...

What is the: manufacturer, model and shouthbridge?

Technically, it is upgradeable. However, this notebook was sold as a no-frills unit and it is not recommended to try to upgrade the CPU. People who have tried had issues, few were able to resolve them. Search the Lenovo community forums for threads on this topic, there are several.
