Hey there, first time posting here. I'm trying to figure out which power supply will be the best option for me for my new build and for future builds in years to come. In a realistic world without going off the wall crazy would I ever need more than an 860w power supply even if I OC and sli?

gtx 660ti
obsidian 650d
ocz vertex ssd
1tb hd
8gb memory
I would also like to use this psu if i upgrade in the next years to come

Both PSU's are grossly over sized for two 660 Tis in SLI

You'll need 450 watts to power it from the getgo w/ 1 card and another 150 watts (600 total) for two cards in SLI. Overclock the bejeezes outta 2 GPUs and CPU and you are fine with a 750 watter.

Here is Guru3Ds power supply recommendation:

GeForce GTX 660 Ti - On your average system the card requires you to have a 450~500 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 660 Ti SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

The HX series has better voltage regulation and lower ripple than the AX series.

But you won't push your system to 100% 24/7, will you? 860W is plenty and there is a lot of headroom for your setup. No need to go any higher.
