Ok, new computer and it came with a 320G HD. Windows 7 pro takes up about 2 and I know where 7 other gigs are. It actually took up 22. I have only installed google chrome and one other program since UNinstalled. I count account for about 56 gigs? How can I get a breakdown?

Solution
Your 320GB is gonna look more like 280GB after formatting, probably around 8GB for the OS and drivers. Thats about 270GB or so left. Now if you have 8GB of RAM, you are gonna have an 8GB hibernation file and a 16GB pagefile. So now you are around 250GB free. You can disable hibernation with a command line and you can adjust your pagefile.

windows is more than 2 gigs after the install and updates. You could click on your c drive and look at what is installed on it then right click on the program and select properties to see how much space it uses..
