Basically my sister seems to have flawless internet speed on her comp whether its for facebook or streaming videos, however while she is on it and I am as well I seem to be affected heavily while she is not. I have done some research and found out about QoS however i can seem to prioritize a specific ip address. I only have an option to prioritize ports, not wireless connections. My router is and SMCD3GN I believe.

Try going to speedtest.net and seeing how the throughput and latency (ping) compares with your sister's computer. If the numbers are reasonably the same, it's probably not an issue solvable with QoS... unless you just want to be evil and compensate by having her computer's connection be dreadfully slow to match yours so that she shares in your pain. Usually QoS, when automatically set, has to do with prioritizing certain protocols (e.g. voice/chat, gaming, etc...) but can, like you suggested, involve setting QoS for certain ports or even MAC addresses but that depends on customization abilities of your router.

All else being the same, I would look to other possibilities... If the hardware between your computer and your sister's is significantly different (or if your computer is more 'loaded down' with software that loads the CPU and RAM) it may be more of a matter of your computer taking longer to process the data especially if it has to go through Flash, different web browsers, etc... rather than pure network speed.

I wouldn't mind her sharing my pain :p However my main problem is that QoS can doesn't allow me to pick certain MAC addresses to prioritize. My computer is most likely more closer to our router and I am 100% sure that my computer hardware is better than hers.

Yeah, without being able to apply QoS to a MAC address, you won't be able to apply that to specific wireless connections... which leads me to believe QoS probably won't fix your plight, unfortunately.

I thought I couldn't find a worse example of QoS that some routers have but this one now wins that category. Most routers that have QoS can do the port thing but they also do IP or even TCP port numbers. The advanced ones have a ability to limit to fixed rates.

Still it all doesn't matter. QoS only affect traffic you are sending ie upload. Seldom is the over utilization of internet connection out bound data. For example (yes it is over simplified) I say "give me file x" and then receive a 100g file. I only sent a tiny message and got 100g in return. Other than completely blocking me how can limiting the size request have any impact when the request size is not actually related to the amount of data you receive.

Even the most advanced QoS models on consumer routers only work partially on some types of data. The only way to truly do this is to have the ISP limit the traffic before they send it to you. Of course they want money for this service and generally only offer it on commercial accounts because it takes great skill to actually make work.
