Linksys Router works on other computers but not one.

Got a new Linksys Router (E900) last week and it works on two of our laptops, Wii, xbox, etc but on my son's laptop it does not work. It will connect to the network but it says "Local Only" and doesn't allow internet access. Even if I connect it to the router with an Ethernet cable, it still says local only. It works if I plug it into the modem directly though. It will actually connect to our neighbor's unsecured wifi and allow internet, but it won't connect to our home router. I tried updating the wireless adapter but it said that it was already up to date. I have also tried using the router's install CD on the laptop but that hasn't worked either. Any suggestions?

Now if I plug it into the router with the ethernet cable it'll connect to the internet but now it won't connect to the network at all (No Local Only, just a simple "Can't connect to the network." <- It began doing this before I tried what you suggested. When I typed in ipconfig /release it said it couldn't be performed and that it required elevation... o_o No idea what that means. When I did ipconfig /renew it says no operation can be performed on wireless network connection while it has it's media disconnected. I appreciate any help I can get!
