More about gtx 275 work 430w psu
  1. Should work
  2. Don't try it. The GTX 275 has a recommended minimum of 520 watts. Even underclocked it will need more than 430w.

  3. What is your PSU specs? You would be really pushing it since it uses almost 400W for a full system (± 10). I would get a new PSU to be safe.
  4. GTX 275 is an old card anyway. Something like an HD 7770 or 7790 would be fine on your CX430 and be more powerful than a GTX 275. An HD 7850 or GTX 660 would also work and be much more powerful than a GTX 275. The 275 will limit you to DX 10 as well.
  5. I suggest you get the TX 650 V2.

It's a bit expensive I guess, but it's better than your whole system dying.

EDIT: Yep, you should do what he said. Get a new GPU and I guarantee it will run on that PSU, I think it's a Corsair CX430.
  6. I'm on a budget of around 60-80 dollars. I havent slept last night because I am searching EVERYWHERE for a used 460 but i cant find one. This guy wants 80 for a 7770 but someone offered me a 4870 for only $35... which should i go for???
  7. also my PSU is a CX430 (Corsair 80+ bronze psu)
  8. it held up my 660ti overclocked perfectlyyyy with a fx4100 also overclocked so i figured it would be fine with my i5 3570k non overclock

    HD 7770 is better than a 4870.

CPU matters very little when it comes to a power supply. The i5 uses way less power than the overclocked FX anyway.
