I just got my Sapphire 7950 and I'm trying to install it now. With the 7950 off, the computer boots fine (I'm running xubuntu and I have a Intel 3770 cpu). When I insert the 7950 into the PCI slot, the motherboard reports code A0 (meaning it is happy) but then nothing is displayed to the screen. I still have the hdmi plugged into the motherboard. Also, the 7950 lights up and the fans spin. Can someone please walk me through this? Thanks.

You need to plug the monitor into the 7950 not the motherboard. Also make sure your power supply can handle a 7950.

Do these two steps. Make sure your mb bios is up to the newest rev for all the bug fixes.in the bios go to primary display driver change it topeg..pci you can leave it set to ipgpu but you need to turn on multi monitor support to turn the gpu on with the ipgpu.

PSU is more than enough, try as suggested above and check the bios settings. Just to verify, you do have both 6-pin connection plugged into the card right?
