Transferring data to another hdd

Hello,

My current HDD is making all manner of funny noises so I decided to buy another anyway, how do I go about transferring all the data to a new one?

If it is a file drive you can copy and paste if you want. Robocopy is another option.

If it is a system drive. You want to clone it. Many drive makers have a software package(most from Acronis) that can do all this for you.

What drive did you get anyway?

I've replaced a WD blue caviar 500gb with a 1tb version. Gonna keep the 500gb until it does fail as a secondary.
