Hi guys. I have as the title says, an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 on an Asus P5K motherboard with a Corsair H60 on it. I'm having this issue where I cannot overclock.
I have seen vids of this CPU being overclocked and this motherboard overclocking other CPUs but these 2 won't overclock. The maximum multiplier is 7.5x and if I play about with the FSB I can only get about 0.04GHz more from it. This was the case with both the H60 and the stock cooler.
I tried both the manual BIOS control and the Asus AI NOS in the BIOS (not the one that runs as a desktop program). I followed the Core 2 overclocking guide but it's not giving me luck.
Any help guys?
