Graphic card turns off screen after "starting windows" screen!

So few days ago, I formated my windows 7 it worked fine but when i installed my ati hd 5770 driver it shuted down and whenever i open i shuts down after starting windows screen. I previously used the graphic card but after reinstall of windows it is giving this problem.Please help me.

CPU: Core 2 duo @2.93
GPU: powercolor ati hd 5770
PSU: zebonics 750w

When you say you installed your ati 5770 driver, are you installing the driver that came with it on the manufacturers disk or are you installing AMD's 13.1 driver? You should use AMD's 13.1 driver. Have you checked your BIOS after the new install to make sure you are using the PCIe slot and not a MB onboard GPU?

Yes turns out my windows was not installed properly.I did a complete reset checking all cables and connection and reinstalled the windows and it worked.

That doesnt make sense....what have cables to do wit windows...
btw iv reinstalled windwos over 10 times by the year, and i always had that problem

I mean cable of the components plus I forgot to mention that my my south bridge was overheating I removed the heatsink applied thermal compound hope this helps.
