I have finally settled on a part list that I will be satisfied with and I would like someone to look over the parts and confirm that they will all fit together and work correctly.

One thing that concerns me is the lack of details about this 500 watt PSU and its available connectors since my graphics card requires to be plugged into it. One of the reviews did mention however that it was powering an i7 processor and gtx 650 with no problems so I'm assuming it shouldn't be a problem.

Case/Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Processor/Motherboard: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite...

Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I would also like to ask if the required cables typically come included with these items or if I need to purchase them as well. Thermal compound is another thing that I might need unless otherwise mentioned.

I also plan on skipping out on an internal optical drive as I rarely use disks anymore. Is it possible to install the operating system via an external optical drive connected via USB?

never buy a case/psu combo

a bad/cheap psu can destroy your system by itself. NEVER EVER go cheap on the psu... and combo'ed psus with cases are pretty much always cheap.

Unfortunately, buying a case and psu separate will dramatically decrease my specs under my budget...

i think a blown mb/cpu/gpu will increase your expenses as well. don't skimp on the psu... skimp on the case all you want... but never skimp on the psu.

you won't believe some of the disasters bad psus can bring... burning down your house is a possibility... some actually melt down the computer in a fire. it's really scary stuff dude.

Sigh, everything is always too good to be true. Is coolmax or apevia a good brand?

generally you can't go too wrong with Seasonic, Corsair, Roswell (the new Roswell psus... the older ones are a bit junky), Antec, or PC Power & Cooling
