im planning to buy Acbel Ipower 85H 750w i want to know if this is a good psu brand.? and if anyone had bad experience using this powersupply.. plz need advice.. tnx..

Solution
Wow I cannot find any reviews of the Acble ipower 85h 750w on the web - it appears to be a foreign brand of some kind. Since we have virtually no knowledge about this unit I would advise you to stay away from it and go with the Huntkey X7 900 which got pretty good reviews.

Also check and see if you can get Corsair or Seasonic by mail.

I hope that this helps.

Don't buy the Acbel Polytech branded PSU's , they make them really cheap quality. They are an OEM manufacturer of power supplies, but it seems the ones they bring to retail with their name are not good at all. They make some for Cooler Master from what I know.

XFX 650W or Cooler Master 700W. are not available in my local store only Acbel Ipower 85h 750.. i want to try this one so i dont get power shortage in my GPU.. i only use one GPU 660ti..

I have a 660ti too. You only need 500W. I overclock my CPU and GPU with a 520W PSU, and it is enough power. Be safe and get a good brand.

You won't need that much with a 660ti. I've stress tested my PC(i5-2500K 4.5GHz @1.4V w/ 7970 1200/1900 @1335mV) with a Corsair HX-650W and had absolutely zero issues running it. As Envy said it would be best if you have two graphic cards before going more than 650W.

Can you get the Corsair brand PSUs by mail - do you have access to Newegg or Amazon or some other electronics supplier. IF you can get the Corsair brand I would recommend one of the following. I list them cheapest to most expensive:

1. Corsair CX 600 ($60 in USD)
2. Corsair TX 750 ($90 in USD)
3. Corsair HX 750 ($120 in USD)
4. Corsair TX 850
5. Corsair HX 850

I have a 2600K build with one ATI XFX 6950 for a video card. I have the HX 850 and it is a wonderful PSU.

It sounds like budget may be an issue. The Corsair CX 600 is well rated in reviews and it is very cheap in America.

If you cannot get Corsair, see what is available in your area and let us know. We might be able to check out the brands that are available.

The one you list I have never heard of so be careful.

Wow that sucks - can you get them by mail? You may be able to order them and have them shipped in for a reasonable price. You might call Corsair and ask them - they have excellent customer service.

If not let us know what is available and we might be able to help you with your choice.

Huntkey X7 900w or Acble ipower 85h 750w

if u have question about my specs see my specs below..

the reason why i choose these over watts psu for my rig is because my first PSU (not true rated) fails to deliver its wattage labeled 650watts. my p.c shutdown everytime i try to play games. :S

wow palawan, hey kabayan,
my advice, get it shipped there. JUST MAKE SURE that you buy from a real store so that you wont get scammed.

you wont need 750w with that setup. it's not like the power output will degrade in 24hrs of gaming, although it will degrade over the years (capacitor aging) but 550w is enough

Huntkey X7 900w or Acble ipower 85h 750w are the only choices i have here in my locale store. i know this brands are not really good.. im afraid that if i get only 600w from the listed brands it will not deliver its labeled 600w... that's the reason why i choose higher watts so i wont get power shortage.. which is best of these brands.? LOL

oh, from the listed brands, yeah i see your point. why not order from manila, and have it delivered there? though the warranty would be costly (if ever).
my last good psu lasted for at least 5 years, i only replaced it because it was old but was still working. now im using seasonic, 5yrs warranty baby

Here are two reviews of the Huntkey 900W:

1. http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Review/168429,huntkey-x7-900w.aspx
2. http://pc4free1.blogspot.com/2010/11/review-of-huntkey-x7-900w-power-supply.html
3. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Huntkey-X7-900-W-Power-Supply-Review/1446

The Huntkey 900W seems to be a reasonably good unit. It provides relatively stable power so it should not damage your components. However its efficiency is more bronze than silver. Also it does not have an on/off switch. Also the reviewers said it ran cool and quiet up to 75% capacity which is a very good thing.

So the Huntkey 900 seems to be a reasonable choice. Actually the last review above is 11 pages and they liked everything but the unit's efficiency and so it appears to be a pretty good PSU.
