I'm having crashes at random times mostly during gaming and a very loud screeching noise comes out form my speakers which kind of sounds like a game boy when you pull out the game while its still running. After i close whatever game that crashed. the sound stops but the computer is highly unusable. when i go into chrome it immediately crashes and there are all kinds of artifacts on my screen while all this happens. It is fine after i restart (until it happens again)

Specs:
CPU: Amd phenom II x2 555 be (unlocked and oc'ed to 3.8ghz)
GPU: Radeon hd 6850
MOBO: msi 760gm-e51
HDD: four Seagate barracuda 7200.12 160gb in RAID0
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB DDR3 1600
PSU: Xclio greatpower 500w

I already ran memtest86 with 2 passes and no errors.

well the artifacts and symptoms all scream to me overheating. Your gpu is overheating for one... as is your mb... which sounds like the inside of the case is superheating.

what's the temps inside your pc? actually... i don't care what they are, this sounds like overheating... test it and find out if your temp sensors work or not.

best way to test this would be to pull the door off the side of the pc, and stick a fan in the side of it. then game and do your thing. no problems then you know the case has crappy airflow.

generally your cpu should never be over 60C (55 ideally), the mb should never be over 50C, and the GPU... well it depends... but i'd think anything over 75C should make you nervous (though i've seen gpus that are good all the way up to 90C).

Gpu wont go over 60 degrees while gaming
cpu gont go over 40 during gaming also.
and the artifacts arent exactly artifacts for example, theres are objects in game(wow) that move around in a shaking motion along with the rest of the screen during this "crash" and they blink also

yeah... but it sounds like a temperature caused memory issue

OP, i know your temp sensors say everything is alright. that doesn't mean they work right. make certain by doing what i suggested. if the problem goes away you know what the issue is.

if that doesn't work, then you need to run memtest on your ram, and if that turns up nothing, swap out the psu and make sure the psu is alright.

I have 5 fans in my case and it is well ventilated but ill try taking the door off and i already ran 2 passes with memtest86 and no errors

you ran memtest with only 1 stick of ram in the system? one stick at a time?

but yeah... the number of fans doesn't mean much, unless they're pointed the right way and there is unobstructed airflow. again, i'm not saying it's definitely temps... only that we should hit the cheap and easy stuff first before we start spending money on the problem. Especially since these symptoms do match a temp problem (or a power supply issue or a ram issue or a mb issue)
