A GOOD 500W PSU will run your computer but I would recommend going to the Corsair TX 750. Right now it is $90.00 after rebates on Newegg.

The advantage of going to a 750W PSU is that you will be running your computer at 50% capacity of the PSU which will give you the maximum efficiency of the PSU.

In practical terms this means the the PSU will use less power, and run quiet and cool.

Corsair also makes the CX 600 which is $59.99 after rebate on Newegg right now. This is a fairly good PSU, just not as good as the TX 750. Both will work, but the TX 750 will work better IMO.

As an example I had a single GPU build with the I-7 920 CPU. For that build I purchased the Corsair HX 750 which should have easily powered my computer...

The whole PSU's power output is 500 W...and in the 12 V rail it can give 24 amps..i don't know nothing other than that.

Thats usually a sign of a real crappy power supply. You may want to look into to replacing it aswell.

As an example I had a single GPU build with the I-7 920 CPU. For that build I purchased the Corsair HX 750 which should have easily powered my computer. However, even with the extra wattage the HX 750 kicked into high fan a lot and ran hot.

For my 2600K CPU build with a single ATI 6950 I chose the Corsair HX 850 PSU and it is a SUPERB PSU. I have never even heard the fan turn on - it runs silent and cool. It is also efficient, according to reviews it runs at 92% efficiency at 50% capacity.

If you have the money, I would recommend the the Corsair TX 850 or Corsair HX 850. But the Corsair TX 750 is an excellent choice and it does not break the budget. If cost is a huge issue the Corsair CX 600 will work and it is dirt cheap.

You may have noticed that I like Corsair. That is because they back their products extremely well. If you have a legitimate problem, they will take care of you without having to pull a tooth to get them to do it.

Seasonic is also a good brand and they make 600W, 750W and 850W PSUs. But I trust Corsair's customer service above all other manufacturers.

I am not a big fan of Antec PSUs because some of them have questionable ratings in professional reviews.

I hope that this helps.
