audio cracking and video problem

I have a acer aspire 5500z laptop,Intel Pentium M @ 1.7GHz and 1.5gb RAM.
I have installed win7 ultimate on it. Earlier I did not find my graphics driver but eventually found on tom'shardware link. Now coming to my problem, when I play a video or mp3 audio starts lagging, cracking and delaying also video seems cracked.
I have installed realtek audio.
What should I do?

Everything else works fine and no background application are running.
Well coming to configuration, win7 executes faster than win XP on the same machine.
I tried to decrease the hardware acceleration and it worked but then picture quality dropped.
