I built a new computer a few weeks ago (specs below) and while playing bf the computer stopped dead. When I tried restarting it nothing would start and it sounded like the ps just won't work. When I disconnect the graphics card the computer starts fine. Can anyone give me an idea of how to trouble shoot the issue given I don't have easy access to another graphics card to test. Everything is in warranty so I can get a replacement if I need to.

PC Specs:
GB z77x ud3h
I5-3570k
GB hd7870 2gb
Corsair hx750 v2
Samsung 120gb 840 ssd
16gb Ripjaws x

See now the problem is , it can either be the graphics card OR the power supply...but since we don't have any spare parts to play with this is going to be a pain in the a**...So what exactly happens when it stops dead? Any beeps? any weird screen stuff? Does it only happen when gaming ?

Only a slight click sound in the power supply, no beeps. Power is still supplied to the MB as the MB power light remains lit. Tempted to pick up a cheap graphics card to help troubleshoot the issue.

I thought that might be the next step.

Getting a £30 card is a investment in the future incase anything happens to your main gpu and you need a spare card to test or us in the meantime. And it's alright always here :)
