So

I've got a laptop, and it's been giving me screen freezes randomly

What it would do is just freeze, yet i can still move my cursor, but nothing else happens till after the freeze ends (which is usually 5 seconds long)

I get this the most with games, i would be playing League of Legends and then it would hang for 5 seconds, run, hang, run. and so on.

In league i also noticed the audio stutters as well, apart from the freezes. It stutters even when it's not frozen. Disabling the audio removed that issue, but the freezing is still making it impossible to play or do anything.

Here's what i've tried:

Checked the ram (one was broken, removed it and replaced both sticks with 2x 4g Vengeance cards)
Reinstalled a clean Windows 7 (before this i did a virus check, file check, defrag, clean up, everything..)
I updated the drivers
tried disabling the audio (because i thought that might have been the culprit)
check if it wasn't usb plug-ins (mouse / headset) doing the damage (was not the case)
cleaned the vents

Anything else i can try? im at a loss of what this might be... i spend 60 euros on new memory cards, and that didn't solve it all, didn't even improve it... so i don't know what's going on.

Sounds like it could be an overheating problem. Have you blown out the vents with compressed air? Also you may have to re-seat the heatsink with new thermal compound. Check your temps with speedfan and let us know.

i checked that and the temperatures are normal. i can not easily change the thermal paste, as it's an intricate laptop to open up.

I can try some time, but the temperatures are around 50-60 degrees, so nothing abnormal for a gaming laptop.

Any other suggestions?

I have been having the same type of issue/s and have tried all the same help people have had to offer, in all the dfferent post I've read online.
To actually fix this issue I ended up having to go to the device manager and check for driver updates on all my devices, one at a time. I think the ones that had updates that fixed this issue were the ACPIx64-based PC under the computer drop down and the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, specifically the ICH ATA and SATA AHCI controllers (I think these made the difference). I checked them all, but these were the only ones that had updates. Once those were updated and the computer was restarted, it has stayed on. It's been on for a day now and no problems so far.
