Additional info all 3 were out of the box
within a month.
They were all set up on the same computer.
All three are crashing randomly
We eve replaced the modem after the second one and its still crashing.

The new router is an Asus RT-N66R

First of all determine if it's the router or the modem. When it crashes re-boot just one of them. If that works then that device is causing the problem. How good is your power from the wall? Do you have a lot of power outages? If so, I'd recommend a UPS for your router and modem. It may not be the router at all. Also have your ISP check your incoming line (cable or dsl or fiber), they often have problems there and that may be causing your modem or router to loose connection.

It's highly unlikely for 3 new routers to fail. That's why I think it is your ISP line in or their modem. When you lose internet try rebooting the modem (remove power plug for about 10 seconds, then plug back in), wait for it to re-boot and see if you are connected. If that works then it is not your router giving you the problem. It is either the modem or the line in from the ISP.
