Not bad at all. Should do quite well at your resolution. Power supply is fine and I have had 5 EVGA cards in a row so you might say I'm a fan.

Now with your CPU you should really be adding a very high end card since the rule of a good gaming computer is to spend twice as much on the graphics card as on the CPU and you have a $320 CPU. That's why most of us here on the forums build our own computers.

You should have no problems doing this card and PSU swap yourself. There are dozens of guides on the internet and even step by step videos on youtube. Just look at a few guides and get a good general idea and go for it.

Your graphics card is not suitable for gaming. It's more for general display or watching movies. You want to play those games then it will need to be upgraded. What card depends on your resolution and budget. Make and model of your power supply is also important as it may need to be upgraded as well.

Hmm Amazon asks for like $450 which is a little out of my budget. Are their any less expensive that would work?

You do not need a GTX 680 level card to max any game but Crysis 3. What is your budget, resolution and power supply?

Sticker on the side. I assume you did not build the computer?

1360 x 768 is a low resolution. An HD 7850 - GTX 660 would allow you to max most games and fit your budget. You would need a quality 450w power supply to run that level graphics card.

I did not build it, it was a $950 purchase at best buy. I cant seem to find any sticker indicating the power supply, are there any other methods?

The power supply has a sticker on the side listing voltages and manufacturer. They are required to.

Side of the PSU not the side of your case.....

Your CPU is good, almost too good for your current resolution. Get HD 7870, HD 7870 LE or HD 7950 and upgrade your monitor to 1080p when Rome II is released and you will rip the game apart. Should mention that you'll need 450W power supply for 7870s and at least 500W for 7950.

With your current resolution, there isn't much point in getting anything above HD 7850 or GTX 660, as anort3 pointed out.

Manufacturer and model? I have never heard of a 286w power supply. I think you are reading something wrong. Or post a picture of the sticker.

Ah you edited as I was posting lol.

Yeah Acbel Polytec. Junk.

You will need a new power supply to upgrade to any graphics card more powerful than what you have now.

Use this list to tell you how much you will need depending on what graphics card you get.

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm

Stick with Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power and Cooling, XFX, Silverstone, Enermax, OCZ and Antec for quality.

Difficult? No not if you can follow the wires and plug in the new power supply to the same place as the old power supply you will be replacing. Other than that it's 4 screws holding it to the case.

Expensive depends on the wattage and quality. You can get a very good ~450-500w unit for $50-$60.

Okay, so I suppose the first step in finding out what power supply I need is to find out how many watts I need. Which graphics card would you recommend I get?
