I have been running firefox and chrome for a long time, and had no problem. today I started my pc and open firefox it crashed my computer it freezed on the spot same with the chrome.

can't even remove them when try to unstall them same thing happened every thing freezes my pc get restarted it self or freezes until I restart it manually.

Solution
Try removing Flash Player and see if anything changes. Flash Player can cause all sorts of strange browser problems.

Does the problem happen in safe mode with networking?

I think you should open Google Chrome without Sandboxing feature. In some cases reported, this feature was found to be the main element responsible for frequent crashes.

1. Right click Chrome icon.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click the Shortcut tab.
4. At the end of the Target textbox, type the following command:
" -no sandbox"
(without quotes; of course)
5. Click OK.

Sorry I'm not aware about any Firefox crash solution as I don't use it. You can Google more solutions online.

As long as Chrome crashes are concerned, you might have malfunctioning plug-ins (also called as, extensions). Disable all malfunctioning extensions. Type "about:plugins" in the Address Bar, press ENTER. Disable all unwanted items. It would work as a good Chrome crash-fix solution.

Well, if that solution doesn't work do clean temporary files, browser cache contents and check if the problem still persists or not.

You're experiencing Google Chrome crashes because the sandbox feature is no longer supported by your OS. Disable this feature and get rid of the crashes. Here's how to do that:

1. Right click Chrome desktop shortcut.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click Shortcut tab, and then Target textbox.
4. Add the following command at the end:
"--no-sandbox"
5. Click Apply, and then OK button.

If the above procedure fails you might have to check if there are Chrome settings issues. To do so use Chrome Quick-Fix and repair the problem automatically.

I would like to say that your problem arises due to unsupported modules installed in Google Chrome. Basically, Google Chrome has a set of modules- some of them won't support your system. The case varies depending on which computer you use and so on. You're required to disable or remove such modules as shown below:

1. Open Google Chrome web browser and type "about:conflicts" in the top side Address Bar window.
2. Click Go button or simply press ENTER.
3. Disable or remove those modules highlighted with a different color.
4. Run Google Chrome repair utility.
5. Reboot the PC when you're done.

Google Chrome will work normal.

You’ll need to look at the incorrect DNS settings which are interfering with your systems. Flush the DNS settings and restart your machine. Disable malfunctioning shell-extensions in your system.

Restore the Computer:
1. Click the Start button.
2. Point to All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Restore.
3. Click Next.
4. Pick-up a date and restore point.
5. Confirm restore process.

Check for New Windows Updates:
1. Click the Start button.
2. Type “Windows Update” in the Search Box.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Click “Check for Updates” button.

For more diagnostic information please use Chrome Quick-Fix utility.

I had the same problem. I checked the add-on I found some add-on that were not recognized (or installed) by me, I removed them. My Firefox has resumed OK.
